Kato Moving & Storage

We are a full-service moving company, and we believe that moving should be memorable, not stressful. We are locally and family owned. We take a lot of pride in offering a positive experience for our local and long-distance customers – both residential and commercial.

We genuinely want our level of customer service to stand out as part of your moving experience and hope that from start to finish we take the stress off of what the moving process can entail. What we can do in a timely and efficient manner would take family or friends away from their own work and social commitments, potentially cause injuries and cause added stress during the process. For the cost of an average move, this can all be eliminated and taken care of quickly and your household goods are properly cared for and then you can enjoy the relocation of your family or business.

For all your moving and storage needs MOVE WITH THE NAME YOU KNOW Kato Moving & Storage, your local Mayflower agent.

Kato Moving & Storage’s History

Kato Moving & Storage is the culmination of three landmark Mankato companies with roots back to the 19th century: Deike Transfer, Jessups Storage & Kato Transfer. Mayflower Transit was founded by Conrad M. Gentry and Don F. Kenworthy in 1927. Kato Moving & Storage became a certified Mayflower Agent in 1965. Mayflower joined UniGroup in 1995 forming the nation’s largest moving and storage services provider. We celebrated our 130th anniversary in 2021.
